Hey everyone! Today I have a couple of fun projects to share with you using the brand new scrapbooking collection from Altenew: Live Your Dream.
This collection is so beautiful. I love the deep and vibrant colours with the awesome watercolour patterns. I had a blast creating these two 12x12 layouts and I hope you'll also scroll to the bottom to click through everyone else's projects. AND find out how you can win $50 and $30 gift certificates!
'Strike A Pose' Layout
For this layout I was inspired to use some of the fire-y colours and vibrant watercolour patterns. I used this adorable peacock cut file (designed by Paige Evans) and backed it with a single piece of patterned paper. I then stitched around each 'feather' for even more texture.
One of my fave embellishments in this collection is the clear floral stickers. I decided to make them into die-cuts by sticking them to some white cardstock and fussy-cutting them out. I clustered them around my photo and cut file and then I created my title using the black puffy script alphas and placed them over the floral clusters.
'Hooray!' Layout
I followed a similar process to create this second layout. This time I was inspired by the large 'hooray' chipboard title and I created a layout documenting a photo from my friends' wedding. I used this tiered cake cut file (again, designed by Paige Evans) and backed it with a patterned paper and stitched around the edge for more definition.
I placed a large chipboard flower piece on top of the cake, and used a combination of clear and chipboard stickers to cluster around the photo and cake. And I also used some of the small wooden epoxy buttons in the centre of the flowers for some fun detail!
