Christmas Stocking Layout | DCWV

Hey everyone! Today I have a special project to share with you, because the lovely people at Die Cuts With a View (aka DCWV!) sent me a couple of their gorgeous Christmas products and challenged me to create with them!

For my first post, I have a 12x12 scrapbook layout to share with you, using the awesome Christmas Traditions 12x12 paper stack.

DCVW have loads of paper stacks available, but I chose this particular pack because I don't think you can ever go wrong with traditional Christmas colours and patterns! But what I especially love about this paper pack is that they've also thrown in some colours like navy blue and pale pink which put a modern twist on a traditional colour scheme. It suits my Christmas style so perfectly!

The papers are all double sided, there's two of each and some having gold foil details! AND there's also a 12x12 sheet of stickers... There's a lot to love about these packs!

For my layout today, I started with this gorgeous and intricate stocking cut file by Paige Evans and backed it some of the lovely patterned papers.

There is a paper that has a red knitted pattern on it, which was perfect to back the 'stocking' part of the cut file. And I made use of the gold foil papers to add some extra glimmer and sparkle to the poinsettia, present and candy cane.

I used the woodgrain pattern as my background; I love the warmth and texture this adds. And talking of texture, to add even more of it I made small tears in three points of the page and backed it with the gorgeous pink paper with gold stars!

As I mentioned before, these papers are double sided, so I love how these tears expose the gorgeous navy pattern on the reverse of the woodgrain background.

I cut my picture into a tag shape and used some twine to tie it to my stocking. I also framed it with some of the poinsettia and holly stickers from the sticker sheet, which also have gold foiling on them!

And as the finishing touch I added some white paint splatters and cut several snowflakes from white cardstock (using another Paige Evans cut file) and scattered them all over my background.

I hope you like my page, and are inspired to use the DCWV paper stacks for your Christmas crafts! And make sure you check back here in a few days to see what else I've been creating.
